It makes a crazy niose when I make a sweeping turn? what does the rear wheel bering look like?

OK you cant just post somthing like that without a link and an exlpination of some kind.

If your belt squeals it is not tight enough or is is worn. I had the same problem after I replaced the alternator on our '99 Forester. It takes allot of tension to keep it from squealing.

My transmission on my '99 forester is bad. The clutch pack is binding. What years will fit. What place has the best price.

I could take the hub in if they need to be pressed in and out.

I found the corect radiator for my 99 forester for $187.36. The tube for the auto trans cooler busted on the old one. I am in the process of replacing the rear axels I have a crunching sound comming from the rear end of the car. I am hoping the axels solv the problem. Should I replace the wheel bearings while I' in there?

My 99 forester overheated today. It started shifting crazy and then it over heated I found transimission fluid in the radiator. I am sure that the water mixed in the tranny. I have never had a problem like this. Does anyone know what needs to be done next.?

Replacing them is good advice. I removed mine with the same problem. I had a hell of a time getting the ruber fule line back on even after I cut off an inch of both of the lines.

Funniest thing I have read in the whole thread LMAO. I would hate to ask you guys if I should take off my catalytic converter. I would be afraid one of you would report me to green peace or the Sierra Club (probably the 17 year old seems a little too Eddie Hascle. BTW that’s a nice dress you are wearing MRS Cleaver). I was working on my parents ‘99 forester and found oil in the spark plug wells. Can anyone tell me how it got there?

I happened to notice that the timing belt was over the milage on my parents forester. While I was in I replaced the water pump with a rebuilt one from O'Reilly. While on an out of town trip the impeller spun on the pump shaft. A $250 tow home and a new pump fixed the problem. I do like O'Reilly for parts and will continue to use them JUST BE AWARE BY A NEW PUMP the price difference is only $30.

I was working on my parents 99 forester yesterday. They were complaining of the RPM surging up an down from about 1000 RPM down to 500 RPM. It would go up and down almost stalling. They told me they had a mechanic look at it one time when it was acting up before. The mechanic told them he cleaned the mass aif flow sensor. I took it out and sprayed it with brake cleaner. The problem is gone. It beat replacing it for $300 from BAP/GEON or $380 form the dealer. Has anyone else had this problem?
