  1. Newby question re: extended warranty after totaling a legacy

    I am new to this site and I am posting this on behalf of my grandparents. They owned a 2002 legacy and my grandmother had a head-on collision 3 weeks ago and totaled the car. She was fairly injured and slammed her head into the steering wheel. The air bag never went off. 2 Questions: 1. Is anyone aware of any problems with the airbags in the 2002 legacy that could account for why it did not go off? 2. My grandparents had a long extended warranty, which they obviously will not need since the car was totaled. Any advice on how to recoup the cost of the extended warranty? All advice is appreciated.
