ahh now that makes sense! so then the switch on the radiator is what i need to replace? and then plug the bypassed wires into it? but if I keep it bypassed then the fan will just be running the whole time?

thanks again guys. i looked at it and the fan had already been plugged into a plug coming out of the engine compartment. the sensor on the radiator has a female end coming off of it. there are two wires twisted together coming out of the engine compartment as well but they are different colors than the ones coming from the radiator sensor. if I were to connect them to the empty female plug I wouldn't know which one went on which side

Hey thanks man I appreciate it! another thing is there is some kind of sensor on the passenger side of the radiator that is not wired up. is that some kind of coolant- level sensor? and how necessary is it to be hooked up? thanks!

I am trying to put back together a loyale that my brother started an engine swap on but then abandoned, without labeling anything. There are two fittings on the driver's side of the radiator with parts of hose on them. He remembers cutting the hoses but doesn't remember where the other ends went to. Are these only necessary for an automatic transmission car? This car is a manual by the way. What are these hoses for?!
