Hey, my 92 Legacy wagon LS has 355k ON IT. and still runs ok.. Not great but it dose not burn oil its tranny is ok.. the body is ok - rust around the wheel wells... but its a great car! depends.. what kind of life it had in the first part of its life! I say keep it and try and fix it up! thats what im doing!

Wow Thanks Guys And Girls For all the replies.....Been working soo had NO time to Check the thread..... Im going to go Buy ramps and Oil pan.. Also wanted them, so just time! I Just need time off to Do the change! Working mans World is just too busy But I think i might get My Rad Flushed and changed at the 15min shop, Just because i dont have time for that kind of change.. and from what iv read its not too hard but.... u need to do it right so i need to read more! Ok.. so I dont like to go to a 15min oil change places that much.. You Know the places im talking about... midas, minute lube ect.... So my question is... What should i ask them to do OR Tell them To DO! when i get my oil changed.. and my Rad Flushed! Or should I take My car to the Subaru dealer and get them to flush my rad! It will cost alot more but i dont have time to do it my self right now.. and its -5 out with snow and i have no where to work on my car Also is it worth my money to get a tune up at the subaru dealer.. and what would they do in a normal tune up? Ohh ya.. and i need to get my tranny looked at!! If they drop the pan - would they then have to go all the way and look deep in side the tranny make me pay mad shop rate hours!! ? Thanks Guys.. Legacy777 - How easy is it to change from At to a MT?? Cause if i do have to change my tranny, a MT would be cool! But i wonder if it will cost more? Also dose the tranny filter pop right off>? or ? cause i was working on it and it just would not come off!

I have a 92 Ls Awd Legacy Auto with 366k... When i purchased the car the mechanic said to take it easy on the trans.. as it was on its last legs. This was over 2 half years ago! so iv been good to her, but today iv had problems. i was 15 mins out on the highway, the car was warm... going up hill... i took my foot of the gas and the car MADE A LOUD THUMP! and shudder... i then put my foot back on the gas and it did the same thing! the car has done this beforebut not this loud! and u sure could feel it! then at the stop lights the trans. would not gear down... it just sat at 1500rpm when i was at a full stop! it just wanted to go! so every time i take my foot off the gas it ThUmps-and then when i put my foot back on It Thumps! into gear it seems? my trany fluid lvl is half full... and under 8k or sooo oil is good... BuT! it has just started to leak 1-2 drops like 1-2days.. and it has never leaked anything! my brakes do seem soft! too? its werid.... allthis in like the past week.... EDIT: just did the TCU,test and i have a 12=Duty Solenoid B... BUt this is a PREVIOUS Problem test.... THe EXISTING test had no codes.... So How can i tell whats Wrong With My Trans?? Also..did i leave anything out? I learn fast.. just tell me what to do Please Help A starving student Out! And I just put on 04 Rims :{ so Not the best week!

Yes! Only The engine has been taken out.. Everything else is on the car... Tires, seats, lights ect! So Do You think i could take Trans? And Mirrors? I think the Trans is the 2.5i Limited wagon one..not sure on model number, But im going back this week to check it out some more!

Ok.. So brakes, tires, seats (if they fit).... and Some floor mats! -- Could I put the Gauges In? Cause they Look Sooo Nice!!!! So.... What kind of model year would be good to steal parts from for my 92 Ls? 92-95 model years? ect..... What Will Fit Into my 92 with out much trouble.. since the 2005 looks like its not going to work :-\ Also what do u guys know and feel about rebuilt salvage cars.... Are they safe? worth the time? and MOney? In canada, it seems to be harder to get them cause the govt insurance companys will not put insurance back on them after they call them salvage, or so im told! But Dam it was SOOO Sad to see this BRAND NEW 2005 Burnt up! And just the Front right Wheel panel! I Wish so bad They would let me Put it back on the road!!!

This Might Be A nOOb question, but I have access to a 2005 legacy 2.5i (Limited?) Wagon front right side firedamage parts car! The engine has been sold to pay for the car, but everything else is in it! I Have a 92 legacy Ls 4wd with 345K.... i'm wondering what can I take FRom The 2005 And Put Into My 92 Im Going to Go take the rims and tires off the 2005 and put them on the 92.. But what else can i Take From the 2005 And Put On the 92???? Seats? gauges? ect... ? Any Ideas or Help.... Thanks for your time... And Feel free to call me a nOOb for this Post.

EDIT!- Dohh I put 2004... but its a 2005!!! 2.5 i Wagon TY.. Red Vs Blue Rocks!!!! I Have a clarion system. So no need for the speakers [did look at them! very nice and the deck was a 6pack!] I was thinking about the seats! Think the tracks might be a bit bigger in the 2005... Would be nice to get new seats cause my 92 seats are Old.... So How can i Move this Post?? Or should I rePost? First time here so DONT want to spam..
