I have a 99 Forrester that is having engine problems. The timing belt tensioner bolt broke and damaged all the valves. They were replaced and 280 miles later one of the piston bearings went. One mechanic says they are not related. Another says they have to be related. I don't know enough about engines to know one way or the other. Has enyone else had problems like this? Please advise.
