Thanks for the link ,I watched and did everything correct. I have changed these belts in the past with no problems. This all started when I was driving up a hill and shifted gears, car started misfiring with no power , so I turned around to go home and it backfired very bad coming down hill. I did the usual new plugs ,wires, cap and rotor plus new fuel filter to no avail.so I checked the timing and found it to be way off. The belt on the drivers side will not line up with marks. When you install belt with dot on cam sprocket up and flywheel set in to the middle mark then turn crank 360 to do other side then back to check driver side belt with dot up the three marks on flywheel will be about an inch to left of pointer which throws everything out of whack then you cannot time distributor correct.
