can i put my ea 81 flat four intake manifold onto the ea82 flat four? and just throwing this out there. does any one have a ea81 flat four for cheeap they could hold on to till i can get the money to buy it? i really miss my lil old brat so fun to drive.

Oh I figured it out when I was searching around the contacts with in the wire harness connection to the headlights was corroded and all that jazz. So i am going to keep using that connection till it stop working then splice that one wire on both sides and add its own connection of some sort. To-skishop69 So a few people have done this mod to there lights? You would happen to know how they install or things along those lines I still need to buy those I'm just in sure how they connect to get the led "halo/ angel eye" to work other than my guess of 1) instal a switch to activate them or 2) splice the power lines to the markers and connect them with like a bullet connecter? To-all Any one have the skills or know how or know who to fix fabricate and full drivers front fender for the brat or know what other models have interchangeable body panels with an 83 brat and know a place that I could contact to ether get a used one or make it cause I need to fix mine it make the car look really bad with it all f***ed up.

also im having issues getting my low beams to work my highs work just fine just the lows wont turn on?

i have an 83 brat and my low beams do not work but my high beams do what could be the issue? ive checked the rotating light switch swaped it for a newwer working one still no lows. i looked at my column switch every thing looks fine there could i just be the wiring or something worse?

The ej22 will mount the same as the ea81 I have?

oh hmmmm well right now my brat has oil leak somewhere on it and the entire bottom of the engine is just messy with oil so from what you have told me im guessing just clean the engine and check the tranny up and i should be good right? i wanted the five speed put into it mainly for highway driving and alittle more emph in the throttle when it gets push i have to put the peddle to the floor to get it moving half the time and id like to not have to do that. but my dad. he gave me the car as my first car and he would like me to keep it orignal and i just personally want another one thats all mine to go bs in and do what ever i want to but the brat in the 83 year are so hard to come by my friend and i are constantly on craigslist looking forf then with no luck aroiund us cause i dont have the money to go hlaf across the us to get an 83 thats at leat mostly decent.

any one know where i can find jumpseat seat belt original-ish trying to keep the car original.

so i have a 1983 subaru brat gl. 4 speed and i want to do an engine and tranny swap with an 1987 subaru gl 4 door? what all can be done here?
