  1. Yah I'm working on a full exhaust only had the catalytic to work with when I got it as it was chopped out. Have a 2 inch thrush muffler now and yah that helped for sure. Crazy power gain still gotta get the rest of the resonators a a few mandrel bends and call it good. So I have an ea81 then? It is a 1.8 ohv I know that much. So what year gear box should I be on the hunt for? Because if it bolts right in id quite happy with that kind of ease. I'm pretty good at finding the parts I need for this rig so far gear box shouldn't be hard as long as I know what I need which is usually the struggle.

  2. I talked to the guys at weber and they said they discontinued making weber conversion kits for the L series wagons. Dude it talked to was obviously wanting to get me off the phone. But that's just what I heard. But yes different base from stock as it needs to mount to the intake manifold and the carbs are universal. I've heard you can make them easily enough.

  3. So I have a subaru over here in CO came with some wide 28 inch tires. It's got an 84 brat transmission and I absolutely roast my clutch trying to climb really steep trails like aspen mountain 4x4 trails. I only have a 4-hi transmission. Trying to climb from time to time my car will stall out because my engine just can't turn the gears with the 28s. I'm stumped. Accept my subaru sucks on trails. Smaller tires and lift it(wheel wells are chopped for the tires). Different gear box. More hp? I'm not keen on a regear as I'm broke and 18.

  4. So I made a 20 mile drive about a week ago, checked oil, radiator fluid because my radiators got a bit of a leak jumped in my car and started driving,by the time I got there my car was steaming so I parked popped my hood and realized I didn't put my radiator cap back on after I checked the level at home. now I know I screwed up you don't have to tell me that, it hadn't been leaking any oil before this, but now there was oil under my engine. once my car cooled I put some more radiator fluid in it and tried to start it... Nothing. Engine cranking but no compression to fire it. Got it towed home. 10 hours later started my car sounded fine. No tell tale signs of a blown head gasket of gunk under the oil cap my timing belt is way off I know I need that tuned so it runs kinda poorly, and the oil only occaisionaly shows up after a 20 minute drive through town. I've put a good amount of time into this car so please don't tell me to scrap it. 261,xxx miles
