[1999 Impreza Body Rust]

  My 1999 Impreza has a bad rust issue around the rear wheel wells.. Since it will not now pass state inspection, I must either fix this problem, sell the car, or buy a comparable car with a blown engine, and do a engine swap. Any input would be great. It runs great with cold a/c!

  My wife hit a deer in my 99 Legacy Outback last night. Only damage is to hood and grill. I am looking for used parts. Can I use parts from any other years?

  Changed battery in 99 Impreza and now starter won't turn. Can anyone tell me how to reset. I do have the remote fob.

[Flashing Check Engine Light]

  Driving home last night, 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5 was running fine when all of a sudden it turned rough and Check engine light started flashing. Previous to this, there had been some very intermittent missing, which my mechanic attributed to bad gas/clogged injectors. I ran some Sea Foam through and everything seemed ok.Apparently there is a cylinder not firing. Any ideas on where to start?

OK, I checked the valve covers and I definitely have a 2.2 Phase II engine from a 99 Legacy. I want to buy a 99 Impreza and replace the 2.2 H-4 Boxer currently in it (blown head gasket) with my 2.2. Is this a plug and go swap?

  My mechanic is changing my 2.5 engine for a 2.2 engine in my 1999 Legacy Outback. The job is almost complete but he is only getting fire to two plugs. He changed the coil to a 2.2 coil, but then he had no fire at all. Please help. I need my car back!

Then we changed to a 2.2 coil and had no fire at all! Do we need to change the computer? This job is almost finished but we need help!
