  1. If it doesn't look like it's worth 950 but when I look at it everything else seems okay, what would you offer for it?
  2. My bad, I was looking at your avatar and for some reason thought that was the car. The link takes you to the car I am looking at, yes. Any thoughts?
  3. Sorry about the double post. I have old cars and old computers, not sure why it did that.
  4. So now that I know this Loyale's parts won't transfer to a Legacy, the next question is whether a 91 Loyale with 170k and a chip in one window(?-haven't seen it yet) is worth $950. It is stated as having very clean interior and running well... but if there isn't something obvious I won't be able to tell a good car from a zebra. 950 is the "asking" price. Kelly BB doesn't go back that far is why I ask, thanks.

  6. The Legacy had cooling issues for a long time on and off and eventually would overheat no matter what if I was over 65mph or in the hills. Heater wouldn't turn on unless I was accelerating so getting heat off the engine was a pain, and that would be the only way to cool the engine when it overheated, so if I was going downhill I would have to pull over and wait a while. Also burned up my a/c unit? Don't know because the last guy I had try to fix it said it was an "under the engine cover issue" and would cost a lot, plus I'd need a re-furbished a/c unit since they don't make them for my model Legacy anymore. I got the radiator replaced and the guy said it was the worst he'd ever seen-maybe 25% capacity with all the gunk and 20 lbs heavier than it should have been. So brand new radiator, thought I was good to go, then it starts overheating worse than ever and the guy looks it up and finds that this model had a recall because of cooling problems related to head gaskets (?-really don't know anything about cars so I might not be getting this exactly right) and that the new radiator is now working too well and putting added pressure into the engine which overheats it faster. It also sucks all the coolant dry within a couple minutes... not sure what else to call it cause it doesn't end up on the ground so I have no idea where it's going but I had to fill up the coolant bucket three times just to get the car home. I get maybe 5-10 minutes out of it before it overheats on me now, no matter what type of driving or even idling. So basically my almost none functioning radiator was keeping the car working at least somewhat... now not so much. I say all of this as a question to this board since someone here will know more than myself, but this is the story I'm getting from the guy that fixed the radiator. The Loyale has an asking price of $950 with 170k and a chip in one window, which I'm pretty certain is less than a new engine but maybe someone here can tell me that. Thanks again.
  7. Need to add another question since Kelly BB doesn't go back that far, but what should I be paying for a 91 Loyale with 170k on it. Not sure if that's the original engine or not as I haven't seen the car yet. Thanks again... for anyone who can help me out here. Legacy just crapped out for good unless I put a new engine in it, and I look at the Loyale tomorrow, so any thoughts here would be greatly appreciated.
  8. 90 Legacy hit the skids and looking to buy a 91 Loyale on craigslist. Will anything cross over? I have a new radiator on the Legacy and I'd like to switch out my windows as they are tinted and the Loyale lists a broken one. Thanks.
