I have a 1992 subaru legacy that was running fine one day and theb the next it started to stall then one morning it just would not start the next day it started and when I am driving it its fine when I stop while waiting on light to change it will stall out then not start I was told to bang on the gas tank so I did and it started got me home I was then told to change fuel pump and strainer so I did and it starts you drive it stalls when you stop for few seconds it has a whirring sound under the hood I was told now to change temp sensor I just started new job dont have pay check yet pump was 200.00 now they say sensor for 35.00 please help car is nickle and dime me to death. next person said it was canister purge solenoid or circuit which is another 85.00 so could someone help I am out of options and money. thank you god bless
