  1. 1998 impreza outback engine swap 2.5 turbo

    I have a 01 outback and going to put a ecu and engine from a 98 legacy forester. My outback is a 2.5 sohc and the new one will be 2.0 dohc will the ecu's match up harness wise or do I have to repin the new one?

  2. fuel starvation or spark?

    My 01 outback kept dying yesterday. I was driving and the car jolted and tach instantly dropped to 0 rim. I cranked it over and it would not turn over. I wait a bit and it starts. I changed the fuel pump relay and fuel pump and it stays constant at idle but when I put it in gear it'll die at random times the same way. It jolts like when you drop the clutch and the car lunges then turns off. I need help with any ideas. Tested the fuel pump after installing it when it was priming and it was 12 volts. So I know the pump is working. I'm lost. Any ideas?
