I want to run about 10psi max but idk where to get wastegate springs. And if I have the boost solenoid from the gl turbo it should still only boost to 7psi. How do I get that awesome turbo spool sound.

So I've decided to just up the boost in the coupe and find an impreza coupe for the ej22t? But I was wondering if I put the td05 turbo on the rx (I will have to make a new header up pipe for it. Can I run the stock boost solenoid and will it be fine at the stock 5-7 psi. I really just want the turbo sound and my 3" turbo back exhaust on the gl . I also will be running the fmic and RFL bov. Can I just hook up the original boost solenoid the the turbo and everything will be fine.

So I have an 87 gl turbo coupe with the ea 82 t motor and the 5 speed with high low ranges. And now I want to swap in my 91 legacy ss motor tranny and rear diff. Where do I start? I have both cars. My leggy motor tranny and front crossmember are pulled. It still has all the control arms with brakes and struts still attached. Can I throw all this under my 87 gl without too much pain in the assery lol.

One of the wire plugs from under the , under hood fuse box, was super loose. I also used a piece of sand paper cloth on the points in the distributor cap and she fired up. But now it idles at 1600 rpm. Which is too high to smog. Ugh

So I drove my 87 gl turbo coupe about 43 miles to the nearest smog shop. When I got there I changed my o2 sensor and put my exhaust back on. From the stock downpipe back. And now it won't start. It has the ea82t. Long lock has about 50k miles on it and it has all stock intake and exhaust. I had the exhaust off so it sounds like a subaru. Any help will be appreciated. Thanx

i too have 4 wheel disks on my gl turbo coupe but it has all kinds of options.

So the original buyer ordered his gl coupe turbo to look and have the same motor and tranny and rear diff as the rx. That's rad. I was gonna sell it but idk now.

The 6th 7th and 8th digit is 55b. So if it is not an rx. Then did they make a gl coupe that is turbo ? And if so, what are the biggest differences.

i was wondering if my 87 rx is at all a rare subaru. ive never seen a red one only black, white, and blue. it is the original color and the vin badge on the door says the car was built in 12/86 . any help would be appreciated. -Caleb
