  1. Definitely the unit. used is the only way to go ? Has anyone eliminated the abs? I know, I know its unsafe. But I have been driving and racing for years with cars that do not have abs.
  2. I found the leak in my brake system. Its coming from the abs unit. I am having a heck of a time finding a replacement unit or rebuild kit. Looking for some help from the fellow members here on what to do. ie. a source for these components, or should i eliminate the abs and make some type of distribution block. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 96 Legacy 2.2
  3. Up date. All the parts came in today and are now on the car. Everything worked out good. I am so surprised how easy these cars are to work on. wanted to thank evryone for the help and input. Thanks again Brian
  4. The water pump looks to be originial. It is Subaru and I have only owned this car for a year. It had 75,000mi on it then and now has 90,000. When I pulled the belt covers off I knew that the pump had frooze due to the tempering colors on the pulley only where the belt was rubbing. Now that the pump is off it looks great inside, nothing looks broke, no corrosion, but she is frooze tight. upnorthguy thans for the reads. Thank everyone Brian
  5. Yes I ordered the timing belt kit that includes four pulleys, pump with metal gasket, new t-stat and hoeses. Thanks for the info I will look up parts to freshen up front end.
  6. Well get the phone call today. The car got hot and won"t start again after cooling down. Will I get it towed home and start ripping into it. The water pump frooze up and melted the back of the belt. She would not start after cooling because all the pulleys are now bonded to the belt. I got it all apart and parts ordered and on the way. Just wanted to get as much info as possible, or if anyone has any pointers or things to look for. Just to make sure I covered all my bases. 96 legacy 2.2 single over head cams. Any info would be greatly appreciared. Thanks Brian
  7. That was it. Its my sons car and he must have hit it. Thanks for the info brus brother.
  8. 96 legecy. running lights will not turn off. I am assuming it is the relay (stuck closed). Could anyone tell me where the running light relay is located? I pulled all the relay in the main fuse block under the hood, lights stayed on. Thanks Brian.
