  1. We all of a sudden have a high pithced whine/scream from our front left wheel of our '91 Legacy wagon. I'm guessing its our wheel bearings(some missing perhaps?) Does any one have any thoughts? Our mechanic is off on Mondays, so I can't ask him. Do you think its safe to drive it for 2 more days or so until we can get it to the shop? Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if they did any good at all.
  3. We've been getting really bad gas mileage and a sort of sputtering idle, which I know probably means that we need to get the fuel injection system cleaned. We don't have the money to get it done yet, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if one of the bottles of fuel additive that is supposed to clean the injection system will actually help us until we can get it done? Thanks for any info!
  4. Mine's a '91 Leg wagon and it has a gas tank that is 15.9 gallons.
  5. I had gotten one quote from a local shop of $395 to $495 and then I called Firestone to check with a chain and they quoted me $700+. I actually got a referal to you from someone else, but Unfortunaley the clutch actually burned out and I think your shop is a little far to tow to. You're out by the airport right? I'm on SE Belmont and that would be a long tow. I'm glad to hear that the $700 quote was silly. I thought it might be.
  6. I have basically the same question. I have a 91 wagon and am wondering what a reasonable price to have the clutch replaced on it would be. We just got it and haven't found a sube mechanic here in Portland yet.
