So I have finally decided I want to do this swap I am gonna get a front clip from Japan Uh more questions always questions can I use the dash and change it to rhd?

93 legacy gushing coolant from bottom of engine replaced t Stat and gasket and water pump gasket still doing it tried stop leak yes I know lazy but anyways still gushing from bottom please tell me if head gasket or block leak. Not much detail but I'm currently angry but please ask for filler info.

I have 93 legacy two actually but any who what other years and models shifter will fit into my car I want to buy a short shifter but can't get a straight answer from the interwebs. Hoping I can just get one designed for newer car and just bolt it in not really interested on making my own but will of need be.

Fixed it it was my intake manifold driver side bolts very loose

I knowe about the carb spray method just trying to avoid it Cuz it can be very dangerous how does the cigar trick work? Where would I blow into on my car to get it to go throw all the air ducts?

I didn't touch the mafs

Also cel disappeared and I'm sure will come back when I start car after work when engine cold

After closer inspection there are two bolts missing on air box just drove to work 30 minutes or so at 60 plus miles the whole way car starts right up no stutter or hesitation while driving slight idle surge almost unnoticeable. So I'm dead set on vacuume leak that is closing due to heat expansion. Please correct me if my thinking is just all wrong maybe intake manifold because its metal to metal with gasket of course.

Got new codes 31 (tps) 32 (temp sensor) 12 (starter switch) 24 (idle air control) I'm getting frustrated and annoyed. Please if anyone has had this problem. Replaced tps replaced temp sensor cleaned iacv. So car starts then dies if I hold throttle open it starts then idles fine revs fine but as soon as I try to go anywhere it bogs down and acceleration is sketching and speratic. After I get it going when I coast and the rpms drops it drops to zero and trues to dies hitting the throttle and feathering keeps it going then it idles fine again. I know this is a long post. I replaced the spark wires not the plugs. I know ignition coils are fine no. 16 fuse was a fluke I think cuz it was fine. I hear a whiring when I drive or hit throttle vacuum leak? Pcv clog?.

Ok I'm still stuck got four codes pop up changed no. 16 fuse under dash codes went away still won't start right.

I am well aware this will be an undertaking not for the light at heart I assure you I won't be even starting until I've done about a year of research and getting all the crap I ran into this issue shoot I didn't consider this stuff from other people's mistakes. I don't even want to stay trying to instal until I have put more durable internals into the engine and gone over how the donor car is set up and what does what and how is it plumbed. I was also wondering is getting a front mount intercooler better or just a hassle for little to no gain. I appreciate the warning of caution but I'm up to it and I will probably help my buddy with his before I've gotten to mine I mean I still have to save the money for parts I will post my research as I go and ask for insight and experienced opinion. I love working on engines love trying to get things to work and love a challenge.

So I found wiring schematics am I going to need rip out all the old wiring and put on new?

On the seats sweet maybe che aper find a donor car what should I do about airbags I know they can still blow Even if not hooked up any way take them out or maybe just wrx seats less hassle

BTW what is a good price range for wrx seats or sti seats if they fit?

So I'm actually going to start research on sti swap into my 93 I know it's gonna take work and fab work but how sweet to have a secret weapon on my buddies Cuz I ain't telling any of them till after they think there car is broken Cuz I pull away too easy lol

So I figured out that my spark wires were shot thought they were new I was wrong. Also tested tps it was faulty so getting another one Monday I'll let you know car starts better but idle is super funky

I replaced the one under the intake manifold brown connector passenger side

Injectors throw codes right?

Iacv on my model goes into intake manifold but yes I did same sysptoms. I'm going to have to look into tps learning makes sense as to why it wouldn't start this morning at all had to take the wifes legacy

93 subaru legacy manual ej22 so title pretty much says it. Cleaned iacv check maf sensor replaced tps good fuel filter is getting gas. Replaced coolant temp sensor starts right up when I hold the accelerator. Aaannnnndddddd ...go.

Wow phone glitches and posted the same thing three times annoying but any who if and when I do the engine tranny I'm going to rebuild and upgrade the engine first to make it worth my while.
