  1. Thats the type of thing it's going into but mine is in a lot worse state than that. I'll post some pics when I get home.
  2. Thanx dneufeld, Any help is always apreciated. So I don't really need to connect all of these wires just a vital few? Thats a lifesaver. Was already looking at an EJ22 on ebay for £10 ($5) And thats with all the gubins (ECU, Starter, Alt, Wiring, Etc.) Give me a shout anytime also. I'm at neuromantic@talk21.com
  3. Not a problem as it's already mounted with no probs Just the wiring giving me a headache now
  4. Firstly habib99 yes Wales UK in Bridgend to be precise. I would rather wire up the EA82t as the extra wieght is not an option as this is a custom car and needs to handle as well as it looks so any extra wieght at the back is not desirable. BTW Habib you know anywhere round here I can get to make a new wiring loom from all digrams I have?
  5. What should I do guys? Go for thr EA and mess around with the wiring for another 3 months or should I get hold of a full EJ car and pull the lot? I'm having a crisis here and need some advice before I go and buy a stock VW motor!!!!
  6. Thats one thing I dont want to think about at the moment, the exhaust will be fun to make. If you could e-mail me the diagrams that would be grand. The adapter was made by a small engineering company for the previous owner of the car. So what is the EA82 going into? Bug, Bus, Hovercraft?
  7. I am doing an EA82t swap into a VW also, altough mine is a little different to any normal VW. I am building a Nova kitcar with an EA82t in the back. dneufeld as regards to the wiring did you make it yourself or did you modify an existing EA82t harness. (BTW I am looking for a harness if anyone has one thay want to sell.) Good luck dneufeld and keep us informed.
  8. Just to let anyone in the UK know there are a few pick-ups (look like brats) on e-bay at the mo going cheap. They are all listed as pickups so just do a search for subaru pick up and you'll find them.
  9. Thanks for the pics Cody. That should really get me moving to get this engine running. Thanks again Tom.
  10. Thanks mate, My e-mail address is neuromantic@talk21.com. Thanks again Tom.
  11. Archamitis, Unfortunatly I am in wales UK so shipping my be pricey. But otherwise great idea as the engine is wired right up to the plugs but the previous owner just sliced the wires just after the plugs. Skip, I have an '86 system if you have any more info I have a friend who is a whiz at electronics who can wire it all up for me. Thanks all Tom.
  12. Unfortunatlly I have no wiring for the ECU. I am looking for an engine wiring harness but at the mo I have nothing.
  13. Thanks guys but I still cant make it out. When you zoom in the writing just blurs. Tom
  14. What information can I find about my EA82t fromthe serial no? And where do I find such info? Thanks Tom.
  15. Hi guys. I am also wiring into a VW but mine is a Nova / sterling (Depending what part of the world your from ). Thats great so far but I also need the engine side of that same diagram. Thanks Tom.
  16. Thanks subi. If it's not too much trouble could u possibly scan them for me? I would be very grateful.
  17. Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for an '86 EA82t engine to ECU? Any help is greatly appreciated thanks Tom.
  18. It's an 1.8 turbo mpfi. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  19. I just bought an EA82 ECU from Barracuda and was wondering if anyone has the engine part of the wiring harness to go with it? If you do and would like to sell to me please post here or PM me. Thanks all Tom.
  20. A Nova was known as a sterling or sebring in the US. It featured in one of the cannonball run films when two women stole one then blew the engine up in the next scene. Heres a smaller larger shot of one.
