If you can try and look at the two trannys on the ground next to each other. The only difference should be that you might have to move the mounts, though the holes should already be there and have threads.

78' 1.8 4sp dr 3" lift, It's been retired now but just thought some folks would like to see the old pickle again.

[EA81T powersteering setup...]

I think that a later ea81 block will have space to tap the holes for the power steering bracket, but I'm not sure about hooking up the alternator and everything because the bracket incoroporates the a/c pump as well.

Just my two cents, but I 100% agree with between 10-15 lbs air pressure and just using plain old radial street tires, preferably balding, because they bag out real nice and create more surface area. I also have the 27" Khumo M/T's on my 80 lifted wagon, they did ok in the sand but I almost cried when a mid 80's toyota van 4wd made it up a hill called V8, down in coosbay, and I could only make it halfway. I'm certainly sure it's because the M/T's dig in too much.

There should be holes near the rear of the 4sp d/r that that fit the mounts. Just move them to that position and it works perfect. Sorry no pics.

It's really not that hard to put the gen two rear-end under the gen one body. I used four pieces of two inch X 1/2" flat bar, total. two pieces on each end of the torsion tube. About the only thing you need to be real critical about is to put every thing in the right place for driveline length and then make sure the wheels are square to the body. If you can weld a little bit then the lift in the rear is very straight forward and simple.

I got my driveline made for about seventy bucks, but I also had already bought two new u-joints. It went into a 80 wagon w/5sp d/r.

hey that green wagon is the "pickle" I owned it for 4 years and wheeled the holy crap out of it, though sadly Mudrat and I hauled it to the junk yard about a week ago . I think I'm going to build another one ppretty soon. Anyway if you have Q's about the lift PM me.

Hey, I have a lifted 80 wagon on 27" Khumos. This is my first time posting. Some of you may have seen the "pickle" at one time or another (the green 78 wagon that was lifted). I usually run with Mudrat and his crew. I've got one of his 3" lifts with a 5sp D/R and swapped the 1600 to an 1800cc. Nice ta m33t ya all. I'll put on pics l8er.
