yes , with a 30 A fuse in between
-
Ok , the very most simple solution for you is a push-button switch between
the relay input of the startermotor and the battery postive connection.
Every push-button switch for about 5 Ampere will do.
And just put the 30 Amp fuse in between this connection to the pos. 12 volt battery conection.
That will do.

Seems what I had. RJ 18 , sometimes I had to fill on the way a gallon or so , sometimes everything fine. No real reasom why or why not.
It was e tiny burst in the plastic upper material of the radiator. Only sometimes it opened. Tried with araldit and so on , for a time it worked.Later changed the radiator. The plastic enforced with carbon becomes in time like porcelaine , very hard and not more flexible.

You could try this (it is for an "old generation") but the problem and solution is the same.

I have realized power to the pump plug by following expert advice.
Thanks again. I'll get a new pump and hope for the best.

Have you tested the ground side of the pump circuit? disconnect the harness at the pump (top of fuel tank) and test continuity to ground on the ground wire of the pump harness.
If you have power and ground at the pump connector, but the pump doesn't run, you have a bad pump or a bad connection to the pump.
Two weeks agoo I had the same problem , mecanic told bad pump.
But by taking it out of the tank it was a bad connection between the pump itself and connecting connector. Takes 30 minutes to take it out and clean.
I tested the pump with a bucket filled with water and a tire pression meter , left it for an hour on 12 volt and kept about 45 psi , that way.
Build in , no problem anymore.

Happened to me once , was the ignition switch with internal poor contacts. Opened it up and cleaned it.
Should have contact resistance below 0,1 Ohm

If somebody would mix it up with , for instance, one gallon of ATF, it for sure not any longer would have that critical flamming point ?

I was just wondering : a brandy or whiskey might be even more dangerous in terms of fire danger...
How are these liquids shipped ? Is it therefore that lately you get often it packed in an extra can ?

it is hard for me to imagine that some one isn;t making a similar product in europe. but i haven't even looked into it and others have.
There are a number of products , also in Europa who advertize doing the same thing , but no one is proven like the US product we are talking about.

Never thought we would be smuggling Trans-x.
Brazil is also a critical state..But there was a very friendly US citizen who send me a package. To get the thing rolling you sometimes have to forget borders.
Same brand and equal problems does unify , is very nice with this kind of forum. Thanks to all.

Different car , same principle , (mine 1,8 1993 , auto as well)
Black smoke , black exhaust , lots of petrol.
Changed 2 weeks ago one injector , now petrol is only going at half speed.
-
Brushes in the starter motor , 20 $ replacement (I had it 2 weeks ago)
-
Finally a follow-up after I received and applied the trans-x.
I put it in around the first of february , since that time about 2000 miles driven.
No change at all.....
May be the lay-out and materials used are quite different from (my) 1993 design and the later ones , the ones , I see from time to
time a with succes story on the board.
The behaviour is like I told before :
Car cold : no problem . (Cold , means still a tropical temperature of 30 degrees celcius....)
Car driven for 30 minutes or more : no problem
Just in between hot and cold , the delay in D , happens. (might be in between from 3 to 10 seconds)
If it will stay like that , I can live with it.

I had a similar thing , nearly new plugs , but if the other side`s plug is
dirty\faulty , your number 4 will not work as normally. Plugs are cheap , better replace all.
regards and succes.

No , nothing else occurs , just the dig, indication .

Eat82 , 1800 T, auto , 4wd ,hiroof , all other options , 1986 , 160.000 Km. Most luxerious and complete model
The digital dash (red) works fine , is brite , no problem.
Only with the lights on , it sometimes becomes completely dark.
After switching off and again on , it works fine again.
Opended up he dimmer , cleaned it , no visible or measurable interuption or crack or whatever. Conectors cleaned. No improvement. Tried to take ou the dig unit , but had fear to take out a lot of things like all vacuum lines for the ventilation.
Where could be the culprit ?
Any one KNOWS more ? Thanks !

I had 10 days ago the same behaveour , the click was there , but not turning the start motor.

just got a 93 impreza l wagon - 231k 1.8 auto
Same car as I have , engine will never fail , keep it.
Transmission ? I don't know , people said to me , one year ago :
it is toast. After cleaning the inside , changing the fluid 5 times and some Lucas , it is still there without problems.
And more 25.000 Km

I just bought a 97 impreza outback with 3.9 manual trans and have plans to lift it and put atleast 27 or 28 inch tires on it, maybe 29 if I go crazy:grin: . I have some questions that hopefully some of you guys can answer.
Suspension ?s
The plan is to use a 2 inch liftkit from australia and then legacy outback struts and springs with impreza tophats in the rear but I don't know if those tophats will fit on a legacy outback strut amd spring.
I just lifted my Impreza 93 with 50 mm (2") , simply by putting on all orginal four struts steel bars with the same tread as original.
Plus 12 bolts , thats it.
I will now put 245/60/14 , with aditional 30 mm adapters (to come)
to get the space for the tires.
About engines , nothing to report , stay with my EJ 18

I also checked out CRC industries website (as listed above), who manufacturers Trans-X. IMO, their website is about worthless. The website says very little about Trans-X, or where to purchase the product world wide. However, Parts America (website listed above) should be able to ship you Trans-X world wide. I hope all this helps!
Parts America ships to everywhere in the USA , not to Brazil.....On their site the real product we where talking about is not mentioned...
Auto zone also is an domestic affair. Nobody on the site is interested to be a middle-man , also for more real parts in the future ?
My Impreza is the only Subaru in about 2000 miles from the next dealer...

Amsoil is headquartered in Minnesota, USA. Do a google search on Amsoil. Also, a google search for Trans X to find a distributor or retailer near you.
Ams oil is not the problem , but where to find and order the miracolous "Trans-X AT slip-stop & leak fix" ?
Google did not work for me .
-
It has been about 6 months now since I posted the original "FIXED!!," so far so good. Trany continues to operate normally. I continue to sing the praise of Amsoil syn ATF and a can of Trans X.
Any idea where i could order it for shipment to Brazil (the Trans.X) ?
squeaky right back wheel IMPREZA 4x4 , 1993
in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVX
Posted
Impreza 1993 , automatic , 4x4 , about 200.000 Km.
From time to time (but it is getting more frequent) it squeases at any speed ,
at every turn of the wheels , but it seems to originate from the right back-wheel.
If I put some pressure on the breaks (even without a real effective breaking still) the squeazing stops ; after leaving the pressure , it starts in few seconds again.
Hanging brake pads ?
Who had the same experience and could give me a hint ?
thanks , Hendrik
