  1. I can post pics if anyone needs help or give better details if needed. For less than 200 bucks it was well worth it
  2. I did a after market stereo install on my 1993 Subaru Loyale ea82na yesterday. I love this website. After reading a bunch, I wondered how hard it could be after reading some difficulties that others had had. Maybe I got lucky, maybe i chose the right stuff. I put in a kenwood kmm-312btu head unit in, fits flush perfectly in the dash no worries. I did buy a scosche wiring harness and that made life easy, part number is SU01B. The speakers were kenwood as well. kenwood kfc-p709ps Components. Speakers fit nice in the doors using the door panels as mounts not the actual door, drilled a couple holes for the tweeters, and strung new speaker wire through the factory grommets on the doors. Simple. I was worried about space and having to get a dash kit. Not needed. Everything i ordered had it all in the box minus the after market wiring harness. Having that made it quick although it can be done without.
  3. Yes the electric fan has been removed for whatever reason by the previous owner, I found the electrical harness plug that it would plug into and the place where it was "mounted." Would anyone deem it necessary to me installing a electric fan since this one is gone? The engine runs great, heater works awesome, engine temp gauge is spot on, might even be running a little bit cooler than most according to the temp gauge which I am fine with. I live in a cooler very wet climate area. Yes or no on getting a electric fan? How necessary? Thanks again for all the replies and knowledge everyone!
  4. Hey thanks! Where exactly is the electric fan? I can't seem to find mine? Or would it be WIERD for absence in mine? I always wondered about the clutch fan that always keeps running, thanks! It bothered me for a while because I always seem to think my engine was over cooling? On the temp gauge it would not reach halfway, maybe barely above 1/4th. I I have. 180 degree t stat in there as well.
  5. Hi. I have a 1993 Subaru Loyale 1.8L SPFI ea82n/a. The fan in the picture is always on. Is this correct? If you are standing in front of the car, the fan is located somewhat driver side of center. I believe it's a belt driven fan? Not sure. But if the car is on, the fan is always on. I'm wondering if this is correct and if it is not correct, what should I do to fix it? Thanks
  6. I recently did a oil change on my 93 Subaru loyale ea82n/a SPFI 1.8. I bought the Wix Oil Filter part number 513161 and it did not fit. Luckily my local auto parts store replaced it with a k&n, the only one that fit, free of charge. Be aware.
  7. Cool beans! Thanks for info! Greatly appreciated!
  8. Ok that all makes sense. However I cannot find a cable or a hose lableled number 1 under the dash to goto that connector, I traced the lines to the vac canister and backwards, all lines are hooked in properly that I can find. And all the buttons and vents rotate to there desired position. The a/c also works just fine, I traced the connector from the vac canister up behind the firewall down and through the hole with a rubber gasket, up to the panel on the dash with the control buttons, "def, heat, bi-lev, a/c. Off" and everything seems to be hooked up as it is supposed to be. Everything does its desired function. I am stumped on why there a missing cable and vac hose to and from this connector with 3 spots on, hoses and cables 2 and 3 are present, yet number 1 is not? I appreciate any and all advice! 93 ea82 loyale spfi n/a 1.8
  9. I do have air conditioning, all the flaps for the vents seem to do there job and direct air in the proper position with one exception, I do not receive any defrost air flow on the passenger side from the clock on the dash onward toward the right, drive side works great and so does all other modes, I have tried cleaning this defroster vent and checking for any plugs and nothing,
  10. My defroster and heater system seem to well great with one exception, on the passenger side I get no air flowing through the defroster vent from the clock towards the right. Driver side defrost vent works great! All heater buttons and functions switch to the appropriate vent and temp works just fine. The front window on the passenger side defrost from about the clock on towards the right gets zero air flow including the little passenger side defroster vent for the door window. I have tried cleaning these vents from plugging and what not, and have done this multiple times. I have flushed my heater core, the heat is hot, the temp selector does its job from hot to cold. Any ideas? Thanks! If pictures are needed, that's no problem at all. 1993 Subaru Loyale ea82 n/a SPFI
  11. Hello, my 93 ea82 loyale spfi has a white vac hose connector labeled 1 2 and 3 under neath the driver side dash, close to heater core, right above the accelerator pedal. There are 3 ports on each side Of the connector labeled 1 2 and 3. Hoses 2 and 3 are present and connected to the right ports, however the port labeled number 1 is empty. Nothing go into it, nothing going out of it. I also cannot seem to find hose number 1 either. Any and all help is appreciated. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about. Rock on fellow Subarus!
  12. Here is a better pic, can't seem to find any vac hoses labeled #1
  13. Sorry about bad pic quality but in the pic you'll notice the white connector, hoses 2 and 3 are connected on the bottom, no hose on the top spot which is labeled 1
