Just cracked a 94 Legacy Intake manifold, will most years fit? This engine was not a California car and I will need to CARB this car in order to smog it in California - do I really need a California intake, what is the difference between a California intake and others? I ask because I see these intakes listed this way on EBay . . thank you!

I've had my intake off for weeks and had cleaned it, painted it and made 8mm phenolic spacers. Today, while torqueing down the flange bolts (new longer bolts with antiseize) I heard the unmistakenable "ting" and saw that the flange bolt closest to cylinder one by timing cover had cracked! I was torqueing to just 20 foot pounds when this happened and was torqueing in sequence. WTF! Is this common? Should I have it welded or just throw away and find a new intake? Some days . . . . . grrrrrrrrrrr

Hello all, I removed my FI harness for repairs and concerned that I may not have them fitted properly to the correct injector. I am not worried about correct side as there is an obvious ground correction that orients this harness. That being said, how do I identify the FI connections correctly? Engine is a '94 EJ22 out of a Legacy. Thank you!

Hi, just starting to put my EJ22 intake on after cleaning/painting, etc. So far, I replaced badly cracked knock sensor, cleaned crank and cam sensors, cleaned IACV, PCV, sprayed electrical connections with electrical contact cleaner, cleaned throttle body and sent out injectors for cleaning (one had too much resistance and the tech believed was not firing . . . in spite of this, I thought engine felt pretty good. I resealed CAT to muffler. Timing belt was done a year ago, plugs were changed recently. I did just learn that a faulty coolant sensor can lead to a run rich condition (how common is this?) and from my perspective, I was running rich prior - fuel mileage was not great. I am also replacing fuel pressure regulator as I noticed that I had the original still on this '94 Legacy EJ engine. Anything else to look for in order to make this engine run at peak efficiency? Thanks and happy holidays Forum!

Hello All, I have my intake off and while it is off, I wanted to reseal injectors and some of the reference articles I have read make it sound difficult. I am less concerned about removal but more about finding the correct o rings - anyone have a source with sizes or just sizes?. My injectors are black. the orings for the rail to manifold should be replaced too - anyone know the correct sizes for these as well? BIG THANKS!
