I am a person. I drive subarus. If the head gaskets are good, that means the rear subframe is probably all rusted out. Itll go 100K miles no problem with an awful sounding knock in the engine if you use enough lucas oil.

  1. +1 for west system and fiberglass. Fiberglass doesn't rust. I just molded a panel of fiberglass against what was left of the original metal to get the shape right, cut out a big hole until I found shiny stuff, glassed in my panel and bondo'd over the top to make it look smooth. Quick and will never rust again.
  2. So I'm trying to figure out what my options are for buying a used rear subframe from a junkyard. I've got a 99 OBS. Any help with what different years and different models I can swap in would be appreciated. I have heard that legacies work and wrxs are to wide, is that correct? Can I fit a forester from around the same year? Thanks
