  1. 2009 Forester sunroof not working properly

    Hello, I'm new to this forum and also Subaru. I've been having issues with my 2009 forester sunroof. First time the roof would not close all the way from the 1/2 way position. I could hear the motor running but the roof would not move. I was able to manually close it and tried it again and it seemed to work fine. I used it a few times and it worked fine until I had the same issues again, so I manually closed it. Now it will only open about 3-4 inches, stop, close, than open again about 1-2 inches. Any suggestions would be great. Also, any concerns with just manually opening and closing it? I don't want to take it in and spend a fortune to fix it, but I do want to enjoy it. Thanks, Kim
