  1. Hi All, I hope someone here can help me with this problem. First off, apologies for my lack of automotive expertise. I own a 1996 Subaru Impreza. The wiper fuse blew a few times. We had the front wiper motor replaced, and everything worked fine for approx. a week, during which the wipers were used successfully and uneventfully. Then, the wipers stopped again. The fuse was blown and a new one blew immediately upon being replaced. Our mechanic checked things over (connections, etc.) and grounded something (sorry don't remember the specifics). He replaced the fuse and successfully ran the wipers for half an hour. Wipers worked fine once or twice more. Tonight they stopped again (almost always after a couple successful swipes); fuse blown again; no luck after replacing fuse. Does anyone here have a suggestion about what to do or how to pinpoint the problem? Thanks.
