Hi all, I bought a 1990 Legacy wagon from a frustrated former owner who couldn't get it to keep running. I replaced the fuel pump and FP relay (kinda challenging to reach) and it acted much better, but still dies occasionally. I figured out that the fuel pump circuit would stop powering the fuel pump for some reason and the POWER light for the AT would start flashing. So I straight wired the fuel pump with a fused circuit and it ran better, but she still dies although not as often. As Grandpaw said "Beer and patience conquers anything". I have found out that bykeeping the AT in manual mode and keeping the RPMs above 2100 it seems to keep running. It kills my gas mileage but it's better than the 6MPG Ford F250 and this techniquedoesn't work on the back roads I have to run often. I'm suspecting the TPS and will test it according to the Chilton manual this evening. Please let me know your thoughts and thanks in advance.

Thanks gbsrph! Yeah, subscribed to Mitchell on line manuals and found it under the seat. Pulled the seat and there was everything. Did the same for my fuel pump relay and found out it's dern near impossible to reach. Above the fuse box (WAY ABOVE!) behind the dash.

Hi all, new to the forum and in dire need of help. None of my power windows are operable and I can't find a wiring diagram. It's a 1990 Legacy wagon and I can't locate a power window fuse position. But wait, it gets better! The A/C is also inoperable. And....I have a broken right hand and the only other transportation I have are 5 speed Ford diesels. Any help is GREATLY appreciated

Hi All, I just purchased my first Subaru, a 1990 Legacy Wagon with only 152k miles. A friend had it and got baffled by an intermittent stall, so he unloaded to me on the cheap. A $100 fuel pump later, she purrs! I'll be posting immediately for help because I broke my right hand and all I have are 5 speed Ford diesels....... and both the power windows and A/C are inop.
