  1. Will a 2004 Subaru Forester Manual Tranny fit into a 2000 Subaru Outback manual wagon?

    I'm having the 5th gear issue in my Subaru. Whenever I try to put it into 5th gear, it pops out. I've read about possible issues that can be fixed but really don't want to deal with the hassle. I have a friend who has a pulled working 2004 Subaru Forester manual transmission willing to give me. How do I find out if that will fit and work properly in my car before we start dropping the tranny? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
