  1. Every thing is pointing to the throw out bearing should know for sure in a few days
  2. Yeah it comes in and out of gear no problem the clutch seemed to be working I'm going to separate motor from tranny tomorrow i feel real confident that the motor not seized thanks for your info I'll update as i dig deeper just hoping to get it back on the trail soon

So i have an 83 gl wagon all stock for the most part i was on the freeway climbing a small grade and had to down shift went from 4th to 3rd hit about 2500 to 3000 rpm when i heard a god awfully noise pulled over and there was arattle or clanking sound coming from inbetween the motor and trany (mt by the way) so i limped it the very short distance home but now it seems locked up clutch still works but wont turn over and wont budge if in gear motor oil and gear oil looks good no metal in them looking for some opions before i tear all the way into the old girl
