In my experience with cars i have never heard of a check engine flashing like that.
But yes u r right it may be as simple as a sensor or it might even be worse eg: ECU.
If it was me i would borrow another car till i can get it into a workshop where i could get codes pulled out. Coz it might be the ECU and if that fails the car fails.
Hope he gets in to the fire fighters and i wish him all the best of luck..
The best thing to clean the TB is some TB cleaner which u can buy at any autostore.
As 4 the injectors they r a pain in the rump roast to dismantle and assemble by ya self so u would be better off getting a cleaner 4 them in a spray pack.
When i find the plug i just use a paperclip and bridge the connection dn't i and then watch the check engine light flash at me?
Coz i was driving today and the check engine light went on while driving so i know there is a code but wat is the most common code related problem with the 84 sportswagons.
Hey
Yes u will have an EA81 motor.
The computer will be different places depending on where the car comes from. i know here in australia the cars r r/h drive and the computer 4 it is in the dash above the heater box which is a terible job to get to.
