  1. First Subaru… I have a 1993 impreza with a stock 1.8. I am thinking about throwing in a 2.5 block and EJ22 heads, keeping the 1.8 manifold. I’ve replaced the starter, alternator, a/c compressor and don’t want to lose out on these brand new parts. Can I put my starter alternator, and compressor on this setup? Would this work? How complicated is this? Can you literally go to a yard, grab a 2.5 block, 2.2 heads, and slap it all together? What else would I need. also, is the EJ22 head cast iron or aluminum?
  2. Had to deal with this on another vehicle. 1. Remove the wheel. 2. Wrap suspension with plastic wrap(like from your kitchen). 3. Partially unscrew all fasteners holding up your wheel liner. 4. Tape the edge of the wheel well to prevent over spray (don't have to if you don't plan on spraying to the edge). 5. Take a can of under carriage spray and cover it with 1-2 coats. I did this in our Jeep and it stopped completely. We take it through streams quite often, so it has been tested.
