  1. Not sure if this is the problem your having. I had a slight amount of play if you pushed and pulled on the steering wheel. I found my steering wheel was loose on the shaft splines, the nut was only finger tight. Not sure if it got left loose or worked loose. Before I tightened it I made sure my steering wheel was centered to the steering rack.
  2. Kinda odd but I don't get any exhaust smell in the car.
  3. Stock carbed 86 GL hatch back. I'm getting poor fuel economy, 16-18 MPG around the city, I don't drive it in the hwy. I have a pretty rotten section of exhaust at the resonator, will this be hurting fuel economy? The rest of the exhaust is solid. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the links. I think I may try to find a matching rim to replace my bent one, and keep an eye out for a better priced set of 14" rims.
  5. The alloys are nice, I think they look a little weird though...
  6. I have considered doing this as well, wouldn't say it's easier than drilling the hubs though.
  7. First post here, hello!. I've been reading here for a few weeks. I have a 1986 GL Hatchback I'm fixing up for a commuter. So far I've replaced front axles, and the clutch cable. I have one bent wheel, so I'm looking for another set and have narrowed it down to three sets available here in Fairbanks. Chrome Mazda B2200 14" that I would drill, and have to buy tires for. They're asking $120, no clue if they're straight. Alloy H style Subaru wheels (probably straight) with tires, haven't seen the tires but they claim they're in good shape, they're asking $100 Steel white spoke Subaru wheels (no clue if they're straight) with good looking studded tires, they're asking $150 for 5 wheels (4 matching studded tires, one street tire) I would like to ruin bigger tires some day, and 13" limits this. But for now I just need straight rims. What do you guys think?
