  1. Recently I installed a new transmission, but one side is not resting on the mount. There is about an inch of space straight up. It’s a gl-10 with an ej22 that has fresh mounts and a 93 pushbutton trans that also has fresh mounts. And the trans is fully bolted onto the engine. I can’t figure out why it’s just not falling into place.
  2. So I have an 88 gl-10 with green digidash, ej swapped. Right now at the junkyard there is an 86 xt with the orange digidash. Would the orange digidash be a direct swap? Or would I have to modify anything? I would like to know before I take the time to go pull it.
  3. I am rebuilding an 88 5sp d/r range with parts from a 93 5spd push button. The ring and pinion in particular. The person who is actually doing the work is worried that the gear ratios are different. I learned from a previous post that the low range gears are on the input shaft. So, would it be as simple as swaping the old pinion with the new without messing with the gears? The only info I can find on gear ratios is for "85-94 4wd". No where says anything about d/r or pushbutton. I might be being too careful, but I'd like to make sure we're not messing anything up.
  4. I have a 88(I think) dual range transmission with a blown ring and pinion. Instead of buying a new ring and pinion from subaru for $500 I picked up a gently used 93 manual push button transmission($100) with the intention of taking the ring and pinion out of that. The transmission is perfectly fine except that I would be better off with the dual range on my rig. So my question is, would it be possible to just swap the transfer case on the end of the transmission? They seem to be the same size, and it would make the project much easier. Thanks for the help. And just for kicks I have an 88 Gl-10 4" lift ej22 swap
