  1. As some of you know I've been enjoying the company of both of these beautiful ladies .. But as it turns out the beautiful lady with whome I share a bed with is tired (for lack of a more harsh PG 13 term) of my attention being so divided . So one of them has to go.. I told her I'd miss her and requested she not be a stranger and to keep in touch, but that didn't go over so well ????. SO.. Be it as it may be I'll turn it over to you gents. I fully intend on stripping, as much as i can get away with, off of the unlucky runner up to my first choise. Or maybe someone on here has some trades in mind? I'd sell the poor old runner up or part her out but as I came upon both for practically nothing I have no problem letting one go for the same . 84 GL wagon: EA81. Hydro lifters (Also have another Ea81 on an engine stand with solid lifters .. Fully complete parts list for both I believe . Neither of the 2 distributors for them work. Pretty positive all it needs to come back to life is a new dizzy . Module crapped out . Just did the HGs and placed the freezplug that popped back into place .. Although there was a bunch of water in the oil pan when I drained it so idk if it came out again or wtf. Haven't looked into it . tad bit of rust on her rear fender but nothing major . FWD .5 spd. Also have what I believe to be 4WD transmission that came extra with it . 85 4WD TURBO RX. EA82T . Not getting fuel . fuel pump which is on a wire with 15a on it from the fuel pump to the battery +. Doesn't make noise doesn't push any fuel up front . Rewiring that as we speak and was thinking of throwing on a Fuel pump from a 90s Ford with like 80 psi that I had laying around (don't know if thats even possible or worth tring . The fuses all light up in the panel under the left of the steering wheel save for a 15 am marked for "Charging". Key on it lights up with a tear light to it with the fuse pulled but when i put any number of good 15 fuses in it it won't light up when proded with my test light . idk what that's about . . So that's where im at . Your opinions are appreciated and I really do thank all who's taken time to help me on the 2 separate threads regarding both of the cars and their issues . Cheers
  2. I have 3 ignition coils. 2 accel pro stock 8140s . Ones brand new and the other was in the 85 RX i got . Stock one that came in the gl as well . I have a fluke 16 multimeter . How do I use it to test these things? Never used one before ha
  3. Well the solenoid coil is reading zero.. With the - side to battery - and the + side probing the little spade it doesn't read a single thing .. No matter what position the key is in
  4. Oh and the male spade thing on the starter .. What's that supposed to be reading ? Cause while the keys in it or in the on position it isn't reading any voltage at all ..
  5. Cranking but won't start . Haven't tried the rewiring trick yet. The oil pressure gauge is either not working or it has no oil pressure . I can't hear the fuel pump go on either and the gas gauge says I'm empty but I just put like half a tank in . Idk if they're related or whatever
  6. Joey pocket what? 30 relay and What's 85 or 86?? Sorry man but your instructions are confusing as hell ha. I have no idea what any of that means . I'm still wet behind the ears when it comes to cars so can you please try and explain that one more time . I appologize for my ignorance when it comes to these things but I am extremely grateful to all who have put any time and effort into trying to help me out on here
  7. Nah just put new oil in it maybe a week ago. And I just did the head gaskets and put back in the freeze plug that had popped out before .
  8. What's the little male connector thing on the back of the starter close to the positive lead??
  9. Po wouldn't know where to find the steering wheel.. so no ha. While cranking the battery at the terminals goes from 12.4 down to 11.4 and even 11.2.
  10. Ok so I went to drain the oil to see what it was looking like and a spoob ton of water came out ! Wtf
  11. Ok . So what do i do about the fusable link? How can i diy the thing at home? If at all possible
  12. I was looking at the fusable links and one of them did seem a bit melted and heat damaged
  13. How do I "backprobe" and where do I find the input and output sources mentioned in steps 4 and 5 to perform said backprobing?
  14. Ok so where should I take the voltage measurements at? Sorry but I'm shyte when it comes to anything involving electricity .. Always shied aways from it til very recently
  15. I'm getting a new distributor ordered up tomorrow for my GL and I've been looking online since I read all this for a ej motor to do a swap. Either gonna throw the ea81 into the rx and ej into the gl or ej into the rx but finding out what lies ahead with this ea82T has definitely prompted me to start the ej swap process lol
  16. Motor isn't siezed. Turned over by hand with ease. Cleaned both sides of the battery cables and threw a fully charged jumper on it while cranking it and still nothing. The fuel pump is wired to a kill switch . From the pump into the cab and out to the positive side of the battery with a 15 amp fuse on the wire as well . Figured that may have something to do with it ? I hate the electronic side of this stuff .

  18. It's not the starter. The battery gauge on the dash reads under 12 volts but the battery is new and reads 12.5 at its terminals. I put a jumper (Which was low on battery itself ha) on it and it was cranking but slowly for a second before the jumper died .
  19. Just picked this beauty up yesterday and im pretty sure the starter is shot. Got a new interstate mega-tron plus battery to throw in it (barely fits ha) and it just clicks rapidly when i turn the key and all the lights and go out on the dash .. So assuming it is in fact the starter my question is can I throw the starter from my 84 ea81 non turbo on my RX ??
  20. I fixed the problem! .. Ish... I bought an 85 AWD RX yesterday ????
