  1. Decided to change the oil in my 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback (2.5) today. Car has less than 30000 miles. When I crawled under the car I noticed a fair amout of what appeared to be oil on the suspension and exhaust. I hadn't looked under the hood in about 3 weeks. When I popped the hood I could see oil pooled around some of the valleys at the base of the intake manifold. Oil did not appear anywhere else except there and where it had dripped. I'm not sure where it would leak from as this is my first Subaru. The oil was quite black which was odd considering the oil in the engine was fairly clean. The dipstick still read full. You r knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Hi there. Just bought my first Subaru:2002 Impreza Outback Sport. I already have the bug to modify the brakes. The 2002 has rear drums and I was wondering if it's possible to swap disk brakes in from a later model. I believe 2003 started using rear disks. I did a search but found little on the topic. Thanks.
