  1. Any leads on finding struts for my '92 SVX? Dealership is unable to pull up any parts for the car, even using the vin. Thank you.
  2. thanks, again. I'll start into it this weekend. Is there a chance the timing has jumped, since I did replace timing components?
  3. Thank you. As far as swaps, I've seen several combinations. I suppose i'm looking for the route that requires the least amount of fabrication/modification.
  4. 270,000. 2.2. new to me. Typical 250,000 + mile wear n tear. Previous owner maintained well for 6 years, (friend of mine) Plugs are clean and fairly new appearing. Not sure which cylinder at this point. I was driving when it suddenly lost power. No backfiring.
  5. What is the most straightforward tranny swap for a '92 SVX? Picked up a running, driving "92 SVX for $500, want to keep it on the cheap...
  6. 95 Legacy missing out after engine warms for 2-3 minutes. Idles smooth for that length of time, then a cylinder stops firing. Will sporatically fire at around 2, 000 rpm. Installed new timing kit about 1, ooo mls ago. Ran fine for a month. My first thought is that the timing jumped, but the smooth running at first start throws me off. Thank you for any input.

  8. Thank you kind sir! I bought a DAYCO brand kit, keeping it on the cheap. The pump is from Thailand.... Oh well. The car has 270,000mls. Hoping to get it to 300 with least amount spent. Hopefully I can score the '92 SVX today for less than $500 and see what it has left in it.

  10. The Legacy is at 270,000 presently! I did a full timing kit and H2O pump. Running and driving like a champ...besides rear wheel bearing "whoomp whoomp whoomp" Thanks for the pointers. I will certainly utilize the help.
  11. I am new to the Subaru Universe. Recently acquired '95 Legacy for $300 that needed some pulleys and belts. Easy DIY...totally worth it! Possible future owner of '92 SVX, this weekend...may get for less than $500.
