Thanks guys. I guess I should also be looking for a possible leak in the connecting hoses too? I got over the sticker shock for buying small parts when I had to replace the MAS - fortunately I found a tested one at junk yard for $50 - beat the heck out of the $700 new price.

I have a 1993 Loyale that currently is displaying an engine code 35. According to Chilton's it indicates a "purge control solenoid valve - solenoid switch continously in on or off position." OK - what the heck is this, where's it at, and do I replace it or clean it? Mucho thanks.
