Just get a $25 Launch c-reader. Don't bother with Bluetooth. The refresh rates suck and there is frequently compatibility issues.
What do you need wireless for anyway?

I want to use it for live data reads while driving until I get my vehicle dialed in.

@3Pin Have you confirmed they work on late 90s subies?

Hi all,
I've been searching and trying many different OBD2 dongles in my 97 legacy to no avail. I'm attempting to use the dongle to read live data through torque pro. Do you have any recommendations for wireless readers that will work with our early obd2 cars? I'm struggling here - I'm on my 4th one.
Thanks

Thank you.
I was hoping for dual port. -
Hi all,
I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a running driving 96 legacy LS but I have been reading conflicting reports as to whether the EJ22 from 96 was an interference or non-interference motor. Can someone solve this mystery for me?
For my application, I want a non-interference EJ22 with OBDII which I initially thought was only the 95 legacy model. Am I wrong?
Also, Does a 96 have single or dual port heads?
TIA

I'm planning a swap on my 77 vw bus to an EJ22. The only 95 Legacys are 12+ hours from me and I do have a 93 2.2 that is near me on the cheap, so I had planned to go that route. I've seen OBDi to OBDii adaptors on the cheap but have never found anyone that has direct experience on whether they work. Has anyone on here?
This is what I am talking about: https://www.chipyourcar.com/product/subaru-obd1-to-obd2-adapter/

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm planning to do the same conversion to my 77 westy. Hey all,
I'm trying to get this motor up and going. Currently, I am in a position that it will start, idle for for about 5 secs and then die. I can give it gas and it will respond (although a little delayed). When I run the codes, I get a P0123. The TPS has been reversed as I am using it in a subie - vw swap. Could the TPS be causing the motor to die ? Are there other common things that I should be looking at and for?
TIA
