  1. I took it to my dealer. Get the OEM Subaru seals. They last longer, and not that expensive. They are called 'axle shaft seals'.
  2. The dealer wanted to charge me $290.00 to install an aftermarket one. I think I'll put it in myself.
  3. In my '85, the front diff was leaking gear oil where the driveshaft goes into the case. There are two seals (inside and outside) on each side that may need to be replaced.
  4. Thanks! I bought a new aftermarket one off Ebay for 18.99 + 65.00 shipping.
  5. Anyone know where to get one? I'm in Canada.
  6. My '85 GL-10 Turbo was losing coolant, but I couldn't find the leak. Finally, after much searching I found the culprit. There is a short piece of heater hose on the passenger side under the turbo which goes from an outlet to the turbo. It was bulging and spongy. I replaced it and never had to top up the radiator since.
