I've got a 95 legecy, the engine coolant sensor code came up on computer. I've replaced the sensor, but how do I reset the code. Please help!

My car doesn,t want to start sometimes. Engine light code says ect sensor and rear o2 sensor. When i push the gas pedal all the way to the floor the car will sputter and start. Is this ect sensor a common problem and is replacing it the answer or what else could it be. Please any help or sugestions
