I have a 2014 Outback. I replaced the brakes on the front driver side and could not get the caliper to fully release to put the new pads on. I barely got the pads and caliper back in and drove it around. As I was driving the rotor got really hot and warped, causing major shaking. After this happening I realized a loud clunking noise when hitting little bumps. Upon inspection, I discovered that the shaft to the CV joint has some movement to it. I believe that is what is causing the rattle noise. It is possible that the vibration of the warped rotor caused a partial separation of the CV joint? Should I be concerned with this. Everything handles and drives fine. There is no clicking noise when turning and no vibration at high speeds. Thank you for your help.
