I'm planning a project where I want the widest front track possible. I'm looking at using an EA81 engine. I assume I can use an EA81 or EA82 (with minor mods) trans. Are some axles longer than others, and which trans would I need to use to take advantage of the longest? I would consider using EJ hubs and axles, if the EJ axles work with the EA82 trans, or would consider using the EJ trans if it would work with the EA81 engine. I'd also consider having custom axles made, but that seems expensive. Can anyone help?
