My (second) Subaru (2001 Outback, 2.5 L) has 150K miles and suffers the overheating problem when the weather is hot, as it was for a couple of days this week, and the AC is on. (The headgaskets problem started for me at 125K miles).
I like Subarus, and want to buy a new Roo, before the hot weather sets in.
I need a car I can put a lot of mileage on in a short period. Can I trust the 2005 2.5L non-turbo engine/headgaskets?
Would I be much safer with a turbo 2.5 or a larger engine? Any advice appreciated.
