HI ..... I have a Subaru Legacy wagon automatic 111,000 . I am the second owner. The car has been great to me and over the past few months have had trouble because of aliment . The car needs new brakes and rotors one wheel bearing and three tires. The cost with labor $ 1700. I already put money into the car and at this time ...I decided to stop. I am not sure if it is appropriate to put it out that I am looking to sell my car . I apologize if I am going against the policy of this message board. It is a excellent car for someone who can do the work on their own. I can't take the chance but I recently look at these car with over 250 ,000 miles. Great car ... little rust around back wheel..... interior like new. I again apologize if this is appropriate for the forum ..... If interested please let me know.

Hi ...very new to the Subaru forum I wish I new about this sooner .... took my car on 10 months ago for a noise had wheel bearing replaced. A few months in heard noise took same mechanic couldn't figure out. I found a Subaru mechanic worked 25 years for dealer ....went out on his own .... heard grinding noise ... I guess my new wheel bearing was never torque properly and the reason for all of my problems . Excessive tire wear brakes calipers sticking. I spent a $2500 with old mechanic including 4 new tires ...to never have a properly done job. It the best car I ever had ...under the hood engine...very strong engine NEVER gave me any trouble starting on the coldest mornings ....I always excessively changed my oil. Interior is like new , I do have some rust around wheel....110,000 miles ... need advice ... is car worth putting $1700 ...and getting maybe many years ... I saw Subaru in this man shop with close to THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND MILES some had more.. and running strong. Hate to junk the car for scrap ...she been so good to me ..... I almost feel guilty if I did. Thanks

.... 98 Subaru Legacy Is there anyway to disable the alarm. I wish not to use key fob...want to just manually use key to lock and unlock. If key fob brakes or low battery ....you can sit with a vehicle and can't move. There must be more options I looked on owners manual ...I understand there's a push in button under fuse area .... I don't want to use that option. I just want to use no fob Thanks

Need some advice Legacy automatic 105,000 miles problem free. Recently had a sweaky noise then clicking noise on right front tire ...took in new cv axle and wheel bearing....noise went away. A few weeks later noise re appeared and put on lift with car running transfercase noise .... sound goes away again after changing differential fluid. Starting to come back after 20 miles drive.....have a great mechanic ....but not with Subaru. Appreciate any knowledge or feedback ....
