1999 legacy outback 5 speed. No fifth gear at all, incredibly sloppy shifter. I’ve bought new bushings for the shifter and I’ve read about the input shaft nut backing off and being a common culprit for losing 5th gear. I can’t find a decent YouTube video on getting to that nut. Is completely pulling the transmission necessary? There’s a short video on YouTube that makes it seem like it’s accessible without pulling. Thanks in advance, I’m new to forums and not sure if this is appropriate or even how it works lol
