  1. Oh, RIGHT ON! That's great. How do you want your credit to read, McBrat? And thanks for the kind words, Mike!
  2. Hello! It's been a long time since I visited here. I hope everyone is having fun! I am continuing to work diligently on a film about my '86 GL10 Turbo Sedan. You can see a few minutes of work in progress at http://www.well.com/~kevinm At the bottom of that page are links to a couple of QuickTime movies. Anyway, the reason for my post: does anyone have marketing literature relevant to this car? The 1986 model year? Or photos of a similar car? If you do and if you could share them, I'd sure appreciate it. No compensation involved, I'm sorry to say -- except a credit in the film, of course! Thanks in advance, and have a great day! K.
  3. Yeah, I gave away the car to someone who I believe will take good care of it. Thanks for posting, though! And yes, I'd love to interview a SubaruJunkie about why Subarus are such great cars. Definitely ping me via email and we'll figure out some time for it! I'll be in the Sac area during the second weekend of June. Maybe June 12 for a quick interview? P.S., I inquired directly to Subaru about their plans for a hybrid BEFORE I purchased the Honda. Sadly, they're not ready to market a hybrid, although they will probably be licensing hybrid technology for a production vehicle next year, I think.
  4. Greetings! I am new to the USMB. I found you as I was surfing for information about Subarus in general. Let me tell you a bit about who I am and why I'm posting! I owned a 1986 Subaru GL-10 Turbo Sedan from 1987 (bought new) till a couple of weeks ago, when I gave it away. It had 250K miles on it and was still running perfectly. As I had just purchased a new Honda Civic Hybrid and had no place for a second car, I felt it was necessary to seek out someone who would value my Subaru as much as I. Moreover, I wanted to make a film about the experience of 'handing down' the car to someone else. Not only was the action of giving away the car an important one, but the attachment I felt -- and still feel -- to my Subaru is somewhat complicated and I hope endearing, and as a filmmaker it seemed ripe for exploration. So now I'm editing the film and I realize I'd like to talk to other owners of Subarus, perhaps even interviewing them on camera. If you're someone who would be interested in talking about your Subaru, I hope you'll ping me via email and share your own story. Thanks in advance, and cheers!
