My father has owned his 1985 Subaru 1.8 GL Auto since new, its only got 57,000 kilometers on it. It's the carbureted version, with a choke pull out lever on the dash, which is supposed to retract when warm.
Issue is, about a year or two ago the choke lever stopped retracting when it reached running temperature. On occasions, it attempts to retract but it's usually only a tiny 'click'. Before it went back fully with quite a bit of speed.
Does anyone know how it's possible to fix this? He just got it serviced, but it still seems to have the stuck choke problem.
