Yes. Engine to trans. My 91 EA82 has a bolt on section on the rea of the engine (bell housing of sorts) which then bolts to the trans.

Do all the EA82 engines have the same bolt pattern?

Is there any difference between tha carb and the throttlebody mounts on these two manifolds? My local parts store shows the base gasket being the same. I know there will be some emissions stuff but what about physical mounting?

OK, thanks. I have a 86 carb dist and a Weber 32-36 two barrel. I'm going to try the FI but I want back up just in case.

Does anyone know of a vacume or mechanical advance distributor that will fit a 91 EA82 from a MFPI loyale for a swap to carbs.

What I have is the 91 engine and wiring in total for mpfi. What would have to be switched?

I'm putting it in a 73 Super beetle.. I'm going for the most simple, least problematic installation possible.

Does anyone know if I can use a weber carb on a EA82 with a throttle body or are the manifolds for carbs different.
