  1. I am changing an auto tranny in my 2001 forester. I have noticed a difference from the one i installing from a 2004 forester. There is, what appears to be an oil filter on the front of the transmission at the bottom left. Also it appears to be on the front axles, that they are not using pins on the shafts, is this right? Any help would be a great appreciation.
  2. An engine and tranny out of a 2004 forester fit in a 2005 legacy sedan? What needs to be changed, according to a salvage yard the engines in these cars fit only the 2004 and the 2005.
  3. I am looking at a 1999 outback, with the enine and auto tranny fit from a 2004 wrecked forester? Needing to find a new home for this engine and tranny with 70k miles, hopefully this will work
  4. On the 2003 forester, under the steering wheel, you have the ob1 connection plug, beside it is another plug, which it looks like a plug for testing, is this for the seat belts and the abs checks?
  5. Finally, they are both working..... I did have to replace the fuse(#9), but it was still dim, i changed the relay, no help, come to find out the bulb itself had a short in it, where i would work on the other side fine, until you shook it lightly and it would dim again, i put a new bulb in it and it works great, thanks to all who helped.
  6. There are no relays in the main fuse box under the dash. Do you mean the one under the hood?
  7. No, the light on the dash is not working either, the high beam blue light.
  8. Can you elaberate more on what this is, the switch ground system.
  9. I changed the plug on the right side of the car, it is still showing a very low glow for the light, with the high beam no working at all. I have also check the ground, it seems to be ok. Does any one have a wiring diagram for the 2003 forester? Thanks
  10. Just noticed the right side light is very dim compared to the left. I took the light out of the headlight and put it in the left side and it is very bright. I also notice the left side dims, but the right side stays the dim light at all times. I have a grounding issue or a short. Does anyone have any suggestions, a headlight wiring diagram would be helpful, or any help. Thanks
  11. you know, it would help if i would read all the directions, i was no depressing the brake when it tried this before. retired it and guess what, works like a charm. thanks everyone for the help.
  12. Would these systems be set up under a fuse to where it would not make the horn sound. I cannot get the system to work. Any help would be great.
  13. ok, i have a remote, when i follow the instructions, about turning the switch from off to on 10 times, the horn does not sound. i have tried it several time even a few more time waiting for the horn to work, nothing. i did notice when i manuall locked the doors, with the door lock, when closing the door i heard a mild chirp and the park lights flashed. i just cannot the horn to sound when turning the switch. any suggestions, or what am i doing wrong.
  14. I HAVE A 2003 FORESTER. aLL ALL FORESTER EQUIPPED WITH THE KEYLESS ENTRY, EVEN THOUGH YOU DO NOT GET THE REMOTE IN THE X MODELS? IF NO WHERE ON THE CAR IS THE KEYLESS SYSTEM TO SEE IF MY CAR IS SET UP FOR THE KEYLESS ENTRY, BEFORE I PURCHASE A NEW REMOTE.
