The car is almost ready, just finishing up some more decals and sponsor logos.

I've made up some custom long travel front struts using inserts to gain more strength at the bottom of the strut where it keeps bending on me. I've also welded some 40x6mm angle iron to the radius rods to stop them bending.

The rear is raised an inch over normal full adjustment height by welding a little more on the end of the adjuster nut.. Motor is still standard EA81, although a different one, this time from 91 Brumby. Gearbox is standard 4sp 3.7 with the low range lever held by a tie down strap in low range. Rear diff is welded. Tyres are 27x8.5R14 Kumho M/T's, this time with tubes in there to keep them inflated as I had many flats the last two times I went (even with 30psi).

I will also be filling the disty with grease (like I have done the past two times I've raced in this event) and the plug leads. Thinking also of putting a 60mm vac tube I have on the standard airbox and leading up up behind the strut pillar to keep it out of the mud spray.

Well, when its all done and dusted I'll post up some pictures and video hopefully of this years race.

Cheers,

Phiz

Took out third place again. Only this time the car is well screwed. Not racing it again. I'll post up pictures and the story when I get my computer back from the gf's place.
