hello, I'm new to subarus and new to this board. i have a 88 turbo wagon that i just drug in and it idles at 2k, it does show a check engine light that i haven't looked into, besides that where should i start? thanks for your knowledge, Redhill

Don't know if this applies to the 88 model but on my 85 turbo there was something on top of the thermostat housing that controlled the fast idle.

John, thanks for the reply, i did see some wires going there, (thermostat housing) i will have a look. also when i posted last night some other threads showed themselves at the bottom of the screen with the location of the idle screw, it may just be that simple. thanks again, Red
