every so often after sitting all night , the fuel pump makes a noise coming from the main relay box under the hood , on my 2000 legacy L wagon, a/t , could it be the fuel pump relay ? if so where is the relay ? passanger side , or drivers side , or black box under the hood , if so which relay ? thanks

The fuel pump relay should be in the passenger compartment up under the dash.

Not sure what color it is. You can probably find that info in the FSM's on my server.
